I can hardly believe that I’m blogging my niece’s six month photo session! It wasn’t long ago that I was capturing her entrance into the world and the first days of her life. But time moves quickly as it always does and my little Boo-Bear is sitting, crawling and desperately trying to figure out this walking thing that everyone does. She’s alert and observant. She’s curious and loves to explore. She thinks big kids are the coolest thing ever and is a fantastic snuggler!
I have lots of moms contact me asking if there is a time between birth and baby’s first birthday that is the best for booking a photo session. Babies change so much and so quickly in their first year that I really like the 6 or 7 month mark to capture the mid stage. Babies are usually pretty happy at this age, very curious and most haven’t hit the making strange stage yet. A six month photo session is a great way to capture baby’s progress in their very busy first year.
Miss Huxley is definitely happy! She’s also pretty proud to be sitting on her own and standing while holding things.
Note:
My sister was sitting next to her girl the entire shoot with a hand always ready to offer support. (I often cloned her hand out of my shots) Baby safety is the most important thing during a photo shoot! Please do not take photos of babies sitting or standing on/with props without a spotter.
