I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I first photographed ‘H’ as a newborn! 2017 flew by and now this handsome boy got to be my first cake smash of 2018. Being my first time doing a Mickey Mouse theme, I didn’t have any decor in my prop room that fit so I made my own. Some scrapbook paper, tissue paper and a lot of cutting, folding and stringing while I did some PVR catch-up and my adorable Disney inspired banner and tissue poms were done and ready.

‘H’s Mama decided to make her own cake for the cake smash and it was pretty adorable! (Did you know that bringing your own cake saves you $30?) I think ‘H’ especially enjoyed the fondant ears. Once he got to the cake, he played more than he ate.

This sweet boy is just the happiest little man and it was a good thing because about 30 mins into his session he let us know that he was over it. I think I’ve only had about 3 sessions in the last 4 years without tears. When your 1, hopped up on sugar and ready for a nap, you get to cry. It is your party, after all.
