cake smash pt 2 / maple ridge photographer

This is part two of J’s first birthday cake smash session.  You can find part one posted  HERE .

So to start off I just want to say that I just love the cake that Cakelicious Cakes Company  in Maple Ridge made for this cake smash session.  It was girly, pink and DELICIOUS (obviously I snuck a taste post smash). Plus it photographed beautifully!

Miss J was not so sure at first if she wanted anything to do with the cake.  I’m pretty sure she didn’t even realize it was edible until her Mom gave her a bit of icing to eat.  But prior to that this is what our session was looking like…

Thankfully, after a quick mommy snuggle and some encouragement,  Miss J realized how delicious a pretty pink cake can be and the tears subsided moments after the first taste of sugary goodness.  I don’t know if I can truly call what happened next a cake smash so much as a gentle cake prodding, but whatever you want to call it, it was adorable!

With her job complete, Miss J toddled back to mom for a quick cleanup and additional wardrobe changes, which you’ll get to check out in part 3 of J’s cake smash session this weekend.  Stay tuned!
