summertime fun / port moody child photographer

I had an incredibly busy June & July, so I decided to take most of August off (with the exception of a bit of editing and the mid-month back to school mini sessions).  My girls are thrilled with the day trips & family outings we’ve been taking and most of the time I have my camera with me, so I thought I’d share a bit of the summertime fun we’ve been having.  This is a recent trip to Sasamat Lake in Port Moody with some good friends.

One of the girl’s favourite outings this summer was a beach trip we took with some friends that we don’t see as often as we’d like.  And this super-fun day s exactly why I’m going to make more of an effort to plan get togethers more often with my amazing friends E & M and their fantastic kids.

I must admit that E’s 7 month old daughter J captivated much of my attention.  every time I pointed my camera in her direction, she gave me the most gorgeous toothless grins.  she’s just the sweetest little thing!

One of the great things about our most recent beach day was that my almost 6 year old K became much more interested in being in the water.  Before this outing, she’d just play around in the shallows but this time she was going under the water & attempting to dog paddle.  I’m excited to think that by this time next year she’ll be able to swim!
