A 10 year anniversary is a pretty significant milestone. My husband and I celebrated ours in February but I never thought of having a photo session done for the occasion (weird since that’s my job!) A close friend of mine did have the idea, which we incorporated into their family photo session last weekend.
Before we were finally able to shoot this session, it had been postponed at least 3 times due to weather. It was starting to drive me crazy that we’d have gorgeous weather throughout the week and rain all weekend. On this particular day, rain was forecasted for the afternoon. We somehow lucked out and the rain held off until 5 mins after our session ended. sigh of relief!
A & F’s girls were extremely excited and after grabbing a few quick family shots and several of the girls running & playing on the hillside of Burnaby Mountain, I turned the lens on mom & dad. I have to say, while a lot of adults are self conscious at first in front of the camera, A & F are like pros. Even in the candid shots I took, they seemed aware of facial expression & body placement and yet looked totally natural at the same time. Love that! It was also super sweet watching them interact like a couple of teenagers after 10 years.
Congratulations A & F on your 10 year anniversary! A photo shoot was a great way to capture the love that’s grown between you throughout your decade as a married couple!
